Numen Cyber Smart Contract CTF 2023

The Smart Contract Security CTF organized by Numen Cyber Labs was a particularly challenging experience for me, as it marked my first-ever participation in an official Capture The Flag (CTF) competition.

I embarked on this journey because it aligned with my capstone project—a year-long initiative as part of my internship at Ensign InfoSecurity, where I was required to deliver a final project upon completion. I chose Web3 Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT) as my area of focus, drawn by its emerging significance, despite having no prior experience in the domain.

Entering the competition with zero knowledge, I initially found myself overwhelmed. However, the experience proved to be an invaluable learning opportunity, deepening my understanding of Solidity, Ethereum, and Smart Contract security. My participation was also encouraged by my supervisor, Chun Yong, who shared a strong interest in blockchain technologies and security at the time. The CTF ultimately served as a catalyst for my learning and progress, significantly contributing to the development of my capstone project.
